At YWCA Missoula, volunteers are essential to our work. They answer crisis calls, prepare meals, support survivors and families in shelter, and help children feel safe during incredibly difficult times. Our next Volunteer Advocate Training begins March 16, and we’re inviting community members to join us.
This three-week training prepares volunteers to provide direct support to survivors of domestic and violence, unhoused families, and children. You’ll learn about trauma-informed care, the dynamics of power and control, and the systemic barriers survivors face—building the skills to offer compassionate, survivor-centered support.
