The Meadowlark Front Desk
We are looking for friendly and compassionate volunteers to greet building residents, answer the phone, direct walk-in clients to appropriate services, and assist with other projects.
Advocate for Survivors
Want to answer our 24-hour crisis line or work at the domestic violence shelter? Advocate volunteers join our team in providing crisis intervention and emotional support to adult and child survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Volunteers must attend a 40-hour professional-caliber training, offered bi-annually.
The next advocate training series will begin January 23, 2023. If you are interested in joining, please complete the volunteer interest form for more information.
Become a GUTS! Mentor
A leadership program of YWCA Missoula, GUTS! is a unique, community-based program for girls and gender-diverse youth. GUTS! volunteers are caring, supportive, open-minded mentors committed to creating a safe environment for young people to join in group activities and discuss real issues in their lives. GUTS! volunteer training is held twice a year.
Learn more about the GUTS program here. To learn more about becoming a GUTS adult volunteer email Jess or complete the GUTS volunteer application.
Support Kids at The Meadowlark
Volunteers in the Youth Services program facilitate group activities for infants through teens, designed to help children who have experienced violence and/or housing instability build resilience.
Foster a Pet
YWCA Missoula is seeking pet advocates for survivors of domestic violence and homeless families. Pet advocates foster pets for up to 60 days while their owners reside at The Meadowlark. The Humane Society of Western Montana provides food and vaccinations as needed.
Volunteer at Secret Seconds
Help sort, price, organize, and serve customers at our Secret Seconds Thrift Stores. Our stores provide critical funding to all YWCA Missoula programs, and volunteering is a great way to support us.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Occasionally we need amazing volunteers to fulfill needs outside our normal volunteer opportunities—such as cooking meals for families attending our support groups, greeting people and answering phones at the front desk, or helping with yard work and simple maintenance.
If you have a passion for our mission, we are happy to put you to work. Give us a call at (406) 543-6691.
